Ambrette frontier / Cyllage approach v10.91-kalos-opening
The current development candidate opens Kalos from Vaniville through Santalune / Viola, Lumiose / Professor Sycamore and the Ambrette frontier. The exact 32 MiB image passes the full static gate; visible runtime traversal and original-GBA approval are still pending, so this QA candidate is not presented as a stable public release.
Every build has to clear the gates.
Full exact-candidate traversal plus in-game save/reload still needs release-candidate sign-off.
GBA SP + SuperFW certification remains a release gate.
The candidate does not change the existing save ABI.
What changed.
Kalos now runs from Vaniville through Santalune / Viola, Lumiose / Professor Sycamore and the Ambrette frontier.
The exact v10.91 candidate passes all 82 directory sections, the 649-map Definitive audit, component/resource gates and all 18 explicit Kalos landing checks.
Viola and Sycamore both use six-Pokémon Lv100 teams; visible runtime QA and original-hardware approval remain pending.
Cyllage City / Grant
Run the visible v10.91 Kalos QA tour through Viola and Sycamore, then continue immediately from Ambrette into Cyllage City and Grant.
See the live development roadmap →Patch it. Verify it. Play it.
When a public build is ready, the release flow stays simple and transparent.
Start from your own compatible base
Pokémon Definitive does not distribute a commercial Pokémon ROM image. Public releases are patches.
Download the exact release patch
Every public build will carry an exact version, notes, checksum and compatibility information.
Apply the patch
Use a supported patcher. The planned browser flow will eventually patch locally without uploading your base game.
Verify and play
Check the resulting release notes, then run it in a compatible emulator or on supported GBA flashcart hardware.
Patch-only distribution. Commercial Pokémon ROM images are not hosted or provided by Pokémon Definitive. Public downloads are governed by the Project EULA and IP policy.
