Kalos now runs from Vaniville through Santalune / Viola, Lumiose / Professor Sycamore and the Ambrette frontier.
The exact v10.91 candidate passes all 82 directory sections, the 649-map Definitive audit, component/resource gates and all 18 explicit Kalos landing checks.
Viola and Sycamore both use six-Pokémon Lv100 teams; visible runtime QA and original-hardware approval remain pending.

Project direction

Built to feel like one definitive game.

01

Expanded roster

Designed around a much larger Pokédex than the original FireRed-era limits, with the long-term goal of making the GBA feel current.

02

Modern battle systems

Keep the tactical depth that makes Radical Red compelling while integrating the definitive project's own progression and content layers.

03

Long-form world

Region expansion and travel are part of the roadmap, with progression designed to feel connected rather than like separate ROMs stitched together.

04

Hardware-first

The target remains real Game Boy Advance hardware, including flashcart play, so additions are judged against performance and memory constraints.

05

Presentation pass

UI cleanup, Pokédex counters, map work, sprites and encounter presentation are being refined alongside gameplay systems.

06

Transparent releases

Each public build will have a version, changelog, requirements and patch format instead of an unexplained ROM upload.
